Internationally renowned audio brand JBL asked us to collaborate with them on the marketing campaign for their new line of wireless speakers. Under the tagline ”#BeHeard” we were tasked to create a series of videos showcasing up and coming Swedish musical talents, hosted by award- winning artist and professional dancer Imenella. In addition to producing the visual material, we were tasked to incorporate JBL Products into the production and it’s associated marketing.

Concept

The initial rollout consisted of three separate videos (+ an introduction) in which Imenella interviewed the young artists Nzingaboy and Zoe Lobos as well as dance-duo Amelis & MonaMohau. These interviews were released over a two month period, leading up to a joint performance video using our concept ”DOPEST Sessions”. The series took on the form of a TV-show, with Imenella serving as the host. The interviews were edited in order to fit this style, and mixed together with spoken overdubs and archived footage from the artists.

Results

The campaign resulted in five videos uploaded to our Youtube-channel, amassing over 180k views in total. Several posts to the Instagram-pages of JBL Sweden and DOPEST were made as well including videos and promotional photos produced by us. Apart from the visual material the interviews were also transcribed into text and published to our website dopest.se, reaching over 100k unique viewers monthly.
